Panthers Take One of Two Against Finger Lakes
May 01, 2026Peyton Swartwout hit for the cycle over the course of the doubleheader and Makayla Esau had four extra-base hits as the Panthers split a doubleheader against Finger Lakes Community College on Friday. TC3 is now 5-17 overall and 3-7 in the Mid-State Athletic Conference. Finger Lakes is 3-24 overall and 2-8 in the MSAC. -
Panthers Split with Genesee
April 30, 2026After blowing a late lead, the Panthers rallied for an extra-inning win in game one, scoring six runs in the eighth inning on route to a 9-5 win. Another blown lead in game two couldn’t be overcome, as the Panthers gave up seven runs in the seventh inning and lost 11-5. The split leaves TC3 with a record of 4-16 overall and 2-6 in the Mid-State Athletic Conference. Genesee stands at 12-20 overall and 2-6 in the MSAC. -
Unearned Runs Costly in Panthers' DH Loss
April 28, 2026The Panthers booted another chance for a win on Tuesday, committing 10 errors over the course of a doubleheader loss at Jefferson Community College. The results drop TC3 to 3-15 and 1-5 in the Mid-State Athletic Conference. Jefferson improves to 15-10 overall and 5-3 in the MSAC. -
Defense Costly in Losses to Erie
April 27, 2026Defensive miscues proved costly on Monday as the Panthers lost both ends of a doubleheader at Erie Community College. TC3 is now 3-13 overall and Region 3 play. Erie moves to 12-12 overall and 11-5 in region. -
Panthers Drop Two to #6 Corning
April 23, 2026Playing at home for the first time in nearly two weeks, the Panthers hosted #6-ranked Corning Community College for a doubleheader on Thursday. After losing the opener 10-0 the Panthers pushed the Red Barons to the limit in game two before falling 5-2. TC3 is now 3-11 overall and 1-3 in the Mid-State Athletic Conference. Corning improves to 23-4 overall and 6-0 in the MSAC. -
Panthers Fall at Herkimer
April 21, 2026Panthers softball took another tough loss on Tuesday, losing on a 10-9 walk-off in the opener of a doubleheader with Herkimer College. The Generals completed the sweep with a win in game two, dropping TC3 to 3-9 on the season. Herkimer is now 10-12 overall. -
Panthers Split with Onondaga
April 17, 2026It was another split for the Panthers against a regional top-five team on Friday, as TC3 took the opener against Onondaga 7-5 in eight innings before dropping game two by a lopsided 31-6 final. The Panthers are now 3-7 overall and in region while Onondaga, ranked #5 in the latest Region 3 coaches poll, moves to 13-10 overall, 10-6 in region. -
Panthers Beat #2 Team in Region
April 12, 2026After nearly pulling off a big win in the opener, the Panthers softball team came back in the nightcap to beat the #2-ranked team in the region by 12 runs. After dropping game one 12-9, TC3 beat Hudson Valley Community College in game two, 21-9 in six innings. The Panthers are now 2-6 overall and in region while Hudson Valley, ranked #2 in the latest Region 3 coaches poll, drops to 12-8 overall, 11-3 in region. -
Panthers Drop Pair at Monroe
April 02, 2026The Panthers softball team continued its streak of leading in every game, but by the time the final out was recorded in each game, they had lost both ends of the doubleheader at Monroe Community College. TC3 lost by scores of 18-7 and 12-7 to drop to 1-5 on the season; Monroe is 5-13 overall and 4-4 in Region 3. -

March 29, 2026The Panthers softball team earned its first win of the season on Sunday, taking game two of a doubleheader with Mohawk Valley Community College. After dropping game one 9-7, the Panthers won the nightcap 7-5. TC3 is now 1-3 on the season; Mohawk Valley is 4-5 overall and 1-1 in Region 3. -
Panthers Open Season with Pair of Tight Games
March 24, 2026The Panthers softball team took to the diamond for the first time this season, hosting a SUNY Niagara team with eight games under its belt. TC3 was ahead in both games, but ultimately missed out on the chance for a win, falling 10-9 and 12-7 to the Thunderwolves. -

July 18, 2024Two teams and 15 individual Tompkins Cortland Community College student-athletes have been honored for their academic excellence by the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA). The men’s golf and women’s soccer teams were named NJCAA Academic Teams of the Year for having a team GPA of better than 3.0. -
Panthers Honored by Region 3 for Academic Excellence
July 11, 2024Seventeen Tompkins Cortland Community College student-athletes have been honored for their academic excellence by Region 3 of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA). To be eligible, student-athlete need to have a minimum gpa of 3.5 over the course of the 2023-24 academic year. -
Postseason Honors for Panthers Softball
June 05, 2024Leading the way with postseason honors for the Panthers softball team, Abby Foley (Barton/Tioga H.S.) has been voted to the NJCAA Region 3 Softball All-Region Team for the second straight year. Foley was voted to the second team as a utility player, becoming the first Panther softball player to repeat on the al-region team since Samijo Scheer and Tayler Fravel accomplished the feat in 2012. -
Panthers Split with Erie in Final Doubleheader of Season

April 28, 2024Tompkins Cortland and Hartwick College combined to score 64 runs over the course of a wild doubleheader Sunday, with Hartwick taking the opener, 11-9, in extra innings and the Panthers taking game two, 23-21, in six innings. After the split, Tompkins Cortland stands at 5-13 on the season. -
