On Saturday, the Panthers took a little time to get their legs under them after a long trip East to the north country. The Timberwolves would take the lead early, but TC3's sophomore captain Jay Pearson would even the score with a blast from 35 yards into the upper corner. ACC regained the lead midway through the first half and extended its lead to two later on.
Just before halftime, Lucas Shaffner converted from distance to close the gap to one goal heading into the break. The Panthers applied high pressure in the second half which led to freshman Pippo Bandt beating the ACC keeper to tie the match at 3. For the remainder of the second half, both teams had great opportunities to go ahead, but it was ACC getting the game-winner late in the half to earn the 4-3 victory.
TC3's Tom Angus recorded four saves in 90 minutes of play and sophomore Stanley Wiggins had an assist.
The Panthers travel to Utica to face Mohawk Valley on Wednesday night with a 6:30 kick off scheduled with the Hawks.
