The first road trip of the year was a rough one for the Panthers men's soccer team. Travelling to Batavia to take on Genesee Community College, the Tompkins Cortland Community College lost by a final score of 9-1 The result leaves the Panthers with a record of 1-2-1 overall and 0-2-1 in Mid-State Athletic Conference. Genesee is now 4-1-0 overall and 2-0-0 in the MSAC.

The Cougars put four on the board in the opening half to take control. Four more to open the second half made it 8-0 before the Panthers broke through with a goal Stanley Wiggins (Wallyford, Scotland/Musselburgh H.S.). Cillian Lynch (Dublin, Ireland/St. Vincent's School) had an assist in the first game he has played outside of the goal.

Tom Angus (Edinburgh, Scotland/Portobello H.S.) had 14 saves in goal.

Looking ahead

The Panthers are off under Friday, travel to Batavia on Saturday to take on Genesee Community College.
