Players celebrating on sideline

The Tompkins Cortland Community College men's basketball team has once again qualified for the NJCAA postseason.

The Panthers are the #7 seed and earned a bye in the first round of the Region 3 playoffs. The Panthers advance to the quarterfinals where they will play #2 seed Genesee Community College on Friday in Batavia. Genesee is hosting the quarterfinal, semifinal, and final rounds on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

The Panthers finished the regular season with a Region 3 record of 13-8, including a pair of very tight losses to Genesee. The Panthers opened the season in November with a loss to the Cougars in triple overtime, 93-91. The two teams met again last week in Dryden, with the Panthers falling 92-88.
