The Panthers hosted #7-ranked Onondaga Community College Tuesday for a Mid-State Athletic Conference contest. The home team held a lead in the opening minutes, but the visiting Lazers took complete control early and cruised to a 99-40 win over the Panthers. TC3 is now 2-12 overall and 1-7 in the MSAC; Onondaga is 16-3 overall and 6-1 in conference.
Kyla Mustapha hit a 3-pointer in the opening moments to put the Panthers in front 5-2. Onondaga went on a 22-3 run to close out the first quarter ahead 24-8. Another lopsided quarter made the half time score 50-16, and the margin just expanded in the second half as the Lazers sent the Panthers to defeat.
Mustapha led the Panthers with 18 points and 9 rebounds. Matisyn Lord and Michaela Jean-Philippe each had 7 points and Cortney Scutt added 6 points and 7 rebounds.
