Returning to action after the long break between semesters, the Panthers hosted one of the top Division II teams in the country. Monroe Community College, ranked #9 in the latest national D-II poll, came to Dryden for a tune-up before each starts divisional play. The result was a convincing win for the visitors, as Monroe raced away with a 111-69 win to improve to 16-3 overall. TC3 is now 3-5 overall.
Monroe wore away the Panthers with their depth. Five Tribunes scored in double figures, and the Monroe bench outscored TC3's bench by a lopsided 58-5 margin. The game's leading scorer was TC3's Malachi Brown, who poured in 28 points. Charlek Rockcliffe had a solid line of 15 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals. Kashif Summers, Jr. also reached double digits in scoring for the Panthers with 13 points and 6 rebounds.
Looking ahead
The Panthers return to Division III play with a home game against Mid-State Athletic Conference rival SUNY Broome on Sunday.
