Peyton Swartwout had a standout pitching performance while helping Panthers softball to its first win of the season, making her the Panthers Athlete of the Week.

Playing on the road against the fifth-ranked team in the region, Swartwout struck out 10 and allowed just two earned runs over seven innings. Her effort in the circle helped the Panthers to the win against Mohawk Valley, and leaves her with 13 strikeouts in 17.1 innings so far this season. She also helped herself at the plate by going 1-for-3 with two runs scored and one RBI in the win on Sunday.
